RATES
Square Inch Price
I charge 3 cents per square inch for all designs.
Example: A quilt top is 60 inches x 80 inches. 60 x 80 = 4800 x .03 = $144.
My minimum quilting charge is $50. This means that a small quilt or table runner's square inch price will be rounded up to the $50 minimum.
Custom quilting is an option as well! However, custom quilting is much more time/knowledge intensive. Contact me to go over project and we will discuss pricing!
Batting
I use and stock my favorite Winline batting in the 80/20 cotton/poly blend. This batting is what I love to use in my own quilts.
Batting is a separate charge and is NOT included in the square inch price.
I charge for batting by the linear inch from queen rolls (90" wide) of batting except in the case of special orders. I will use only what is needed for your quilt (smallest side + a 5" margin) and charge per inch and give you any leftover.
For example, if you have a 60" x 80" quilt, I would cut 65" of the batting of your choice.
Thread/Designs
I stock OMNI poly thread and absolutely love it. I don't charge any extra fees for thread use, it's included in your square inch price. Unless it is a very custom color that will need to be ordered. In that event, I split
the cost of the thread+shipping with you!
My personal style attempts to match or blend thread color with the lighter areas of your quilt. But this is YOUR quilt! Let me know if you have a preference on thread color or want the threading to stand out!
Designs I already own are included in the pricing. However, if there is a specific design type you want I can help you find it and we will split the cost of the design. I once had a BigFoot quilt that I so BADLY wanted to do a bigfoot pantograph pattern on, so you decide how creative you want me/us to be!
Photography
In another chapter of my life, I was a professional photographer. Upon completion of the quilting, I will take photos of your quilt in my well-lit studio and then text/email you those images to use however you would like. I'd just ask that you credit me for the photo and/or quilting if posting publicly. This extra service is included in your square inch price.
Shipping
Shipping your top and/or backing to me: I live in Ogden, Utah, and would be happy to receive your top and backing by mail. I'd recommend sending your materials enclosed in some kind of sack or bag to protect against possible moisture in transit and then placed in a hard-sided cardboard box. Make sure the box is securely taped and labeled clearly.
Return shipping: I will send your quilt back to you in the manner described above via the cheapest method for you. Return shipping will be added to your final invoice. I will email a tracking number once I receive one so we can both keep track of your return shipment.
